Ash, Iris and Cilan go to a small town where they’re having a Pokemon competition during their harvest festival. There they meet Victini and the legendary Pokemon Zekrom and Reshiram.

Team Rocket is a little iffy. They’re at least more interesting than the Black and White series, but still not as entertaining as in previous series.

The movie itself is what you would expect from a Pokemon movie. Ash and the gang go to a small town for some competition or festival where they meet some unique pokemon and get into a life and death situation with a legendary pokemon where they have to fix things or the world would be destroyed. Nothing ground breaking.

You really don’t have to watch both movies though. I had read that they started out the same but then differed about half way through. They didn’t though. The differences between the two movies made no difference. At the beginning, Ash and Pikachu are in a fight with that karate sock thing? One has a blue and red has a red. The village Damon is trying to talk into coming back are different, the gift Damon got from the kids are from the village in the other movie. Then in White Damon gets help from Reshiram and Ash gets Zekrom. In Black Damon uses the Zekrom while Ash gets Reshiram.

So… I would recommend watching one of them if you like Pokemon. I would lean more towards recommending White since Zekrom seems to suit Ash more.
