Taking place directly after the first movie, Flint and the group have stopped the food weather. When Chester V, a scientist that Flint looks up to shows up to help clean up the town, sending the people away and giving Flint a job. After a few months, Chester sends Flint, who takes Sam, his father and the rest of the group, back home to stop the machine which has continued creating living food.
I didn’t think the jokes in this were as good. For the most part, they seemed to lean more towards potty humor. The story was more interesting I thought. But the characters (aside from Steve and Berry) just annoyed me. The dad was better than the first movie, if only because he actually plays a part. But Chester V is so obvious about everything, I can’t figure out why everyone seems to trust him at first. Nor do I understand why Flint took so long to realize, to the point where he even ignored and abandoned his friends.
Watch it or don’t, it doesn’t make much difference. It’s not amazing but at least it isn’t horrible.
