Tanaka is a high school boy who’s goal in life is to sleep and avoid anything that can interfere with that. Oota supports it and helps him, usually carrying him to classes and home after school.
This show was hilarious. Maybe just because Tanaka reminds me of myself. I only wish I had an Oota.
The art is nice. The voices are good. The characters are entertaining. And it’s amazing how many people consider such a useless guy that just wants to sleep either as mature or smart. Just because he says the odd smart thing doesn’t mean he’s smart.
I’d say you should just watch it. It’s a show centered around a teenager that just wants to sleep. There’s not much I can say about it. But it’s definitely worth the time.
Both I personally find hilarious. Tanaka-kun is slightly more usual comedy. Although Tanaka isn’t what you’d expect for a main character, but those around him are, making him into a usual mc. WataMote focuses more on getting the comedy from the main characters anxieties. Makes it more awkward and slightly uncomfortable to watch, but it’s still hilarious.
