In 1982 there was a video game tournament. Footage from this tournament was sent into space. Thirty some years later, Earth is attacked by arcade games, and the fate of the world is left in the hands of a small group of nerds.
It was fun enough. I have a feeling if I had been born 20 years earlier or liked video games more, I’d like it better. But I didn’t recognize most of the games or people or any of it.
As for the acting, it sort of felt like they were trying too hard to be funny or something. The idea was good, but I feel like the execution of it was sort of poor.
Doubt I’d recommend it to anybody that doesn’t like ’80s games.
