Arita Haruyuki is a short and fat first year junior high school student. He’s bullied daily and escapes into a game worl. One day, he meets Kuroyukihime, the most popular girl in school. She then introduces him to a virtual reality game called Brain Burst.
Haruyuki is like, half as tall as everyone else, twice as wide and has a head that’s twice as big. It makes the real world kind of awkward. The game worlds aren’t too bad. He’s either a cute little pig or just as tall and skinny as everyone else.
For the most part, the first half just seems to be an introduction to the world. There didn’t seem to be any actual enemies or something. There was the odd one of course, but only for a couple episodes at most. The second half had a real enemy. Unfortunately, Kuroyukihime was away on a school trip. But it was sort of interesting.
It’s not the best I’ve ever watched. It was sort of cheesy and lame. But at least it let me shut off my brain and cheered me up some. So I’d recommend it if you don’t want to think.
