Related Part 1

Ajin are humans that cannot die. Nagai Kei just wants an easy normal life. But once it’s discover he’s an ajin, the government begins to chase him.

I loved this. I think a large part of it is that the main character only cares about himself. He’ll do what it takes for him to live peacefully and he uses other people without caring about anyone. He keeps up appearances but he won’t do anything unless he benefits.

It’s dark. There’s gore (it is a show about people that can’t die. They’re going to be killed a few times). Almost all the characters are either out for themselves or being used. It’s not overly predictable.

Most of what i have to complain about is the art. Its not horrible if theyre sitting still, but the movements are awkward and annoying.

Anyway, I’m not going to get too into it. Just know it is highly recommended. I hope there will be a second season soon though. It ends on a cliffhanger and I have a feeling the OVA that’s due out soon is gonna finish it.

Recommendations
Tokyo Ghoul
Parasyte
Deadman Wonderland
Charlotte
Elfen Lied
All have characters that suddenly get some kind of power that causes them to be hunted/used/tortured/killed. All throw into question who the real monsters are.
