Max is a boy that escapes the realities of being bullied at school and his parents fighting at home by going into his dream world. That is, until his dreams become reality and he has to help Sharkboy and lavagirl save their world and his.

I really don’t know what to say about this. Half of the time the acting reminded me of soaps. The feel of it is like a Spy Kids rip off (from what I remember of Spy Kids anyway, it’s been so long.. ). The idea for the story itself is interesting. Never stop dreaming, never stop believing because if you dream hard enough, you can make it a reality. I feel like it was fun and that was the only point. To be fun. But even then, the best part of the entire movie was Sharkboy singing. Then the poor kids mother was horrible, the father seemed flaky, the teacher seemed to be good to everyone but the one girl.

Anyway, it was what it was. Nothing more, nothing less. Cheesy, lame, fun. I don’t recommend it, but it’s not something I’d say not to watch. It’s a time killer. Would probably entertain kids well enough.
