When 14 year old Ichinose Miki gets close to a 15 year old boy at cram school, she gets pregnant. Eventually she decides she wants to have the baby, even if she has to raise it alone. Thus follows what happens to her, her family, her boyfriend and his family.
WARNING? Obviously this focuses on a 14 year old getting pregnant. Then there’s abortion, adoption, suicide.
Parts of this were quite boring. Some parts were annoying. I get it. It’s dangerous and looks bad. But don’t try to force someone to get an abortion. Then the one friend, out of jealousy or whatever, decides to let the school know. The worse part? The boys mother is a CEO. I’m sure you can see where that’s going.
But you see this young, flighty, slightly cry baby-ish girl mature. Perhaps more so than even where her parents are at, to the point where she becomes what I’m sure would be a great mother. No matter the situation she’s in, she thinks only of her baby.
Unfortunately, there are episodes where not much happens. Of course something major can’t happen every day when you’re pregnant, even if you are only 14. But the last few episodes are especially great.
I think I’d recommend it to parents that have young teens (maybe preteens). Obviously to watch with them. It’s not all that sugar coated and would probably scare them enough for them to at least use a condom. For the girls especially. It goes into the dangers of childbirth, especially when young, and it doesn’t make it at all easy for the girl in this.
