A reporter for a gossip rag gets involved with the subjects family after a couple of misunderstandings.
It’s nothing new. If you’ve watched one along these lines, you’ve seen them all. Misunderstandings and lies happen, people fall in love, lies are exposed, they split up, then get back together. It’s so predictable… in cases like this, you have to love the characters. When the story is reused time after time, if you don’t like the characters, you can’t like it. And I didn’t like the characters. The mother and the care taker, sure. They were ok. I liked them. I was rooting for them. But the main characters? No. Barely any chemistry and I couldn’t bring myself to root for them.
So… if you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t seen this type of movie yet, go for it. But I’m sure there’s better out there if you look.
