The moon is falling and set to destroy the earth. Meanwhile, the one responsible for that has kidnapped Hinata’s sister Hanabi. Hinata, Naruto, Shikamaru, Sai and Sakura must rescue Hanabi and stop the moon. Along the way, Naruto begins to realize his feelings.

To start with, this is set two years after the war. Last I checked, they aren’t done with that in the anime yet and I havent read the manga.

I feel things could have been better. The idea that Naruto realizes Hinata’s feeling towards him, what he actually felt for Sakura and all that other good stuff. But the way it was done seemed sort of forced. Because of how it was done, it feels like he was forced to realize all this stuff and that the feeling were forced on him. Especially after that Pain incident (episode 166 of Shippuden). If he didn’t realize it then…

Anyway… some stuff threw me off when it came to Naruto, Sasuke, Tsunade and Guy but… whatever. I originally wanted to wait until after the war ended in the anime to avoid spoilers but… I don’t think what was shown was actual spoilers, even if, like me, you haven’t read the manga.

The scarf though! It takes forever to knit a scarf, even if it is simple and one solid colour! And she was making it really long too! I wanted that white haired bastard to die so painfully and slowly because of what he did to Hinata’s knitting…

Anyway, I personally would suggest waiting until the war is done in the anime (or until you’ve read it) but it’s still good. I’d also suggest watching right through the credits to the end. The credits add to the story and afterwards it’s really cute…
