After a pyramid is stolen, Gru puts into action a plan to steal the moon. Unfortunately, this requires getting his hands on a shrink ray and in order to do that, he adopts three orphan girls.

This was actually a lot better than I expected. Those minions things have been all over the place so I’ve been putting it off because of that, while at the same time wanting  to watch it to find out what all the hub bub was about. They were the most horribly annoying thing ever. Gru an the kids were really cute though, especially the hat girl.

As for the story, it was okay. More cute than anything else though which makes sense since it’s geared more towards kids. There is the odd more adult joke (like a part with a werewolf). This one is definitely a feel good movie, even more so than those silly romances.

So, if you can deal with those annoying yellow things, watch it.
