Three sister live in a small town. The oldest is engaged, the middle has moved out to pursue her career in a hair salon and the youngest is in high school on the track team. Shortly after the eldest marries, her ex-boyfriend breaks into the house and, mistaking her for the eldest, pours acid on the youngests face. Soon after, people that go to her high school are killed by a woman with scissors.
It’s completely unrelated to the original movie. The way the original was set up, I expected a sequel that was actually related. It would have made much more sense. Then I don’t even think this can be considered a horror movie. It was just every day, normal stuff until about half an hour in when the ex shows up. Then after that, you get almost nothing until the last 15 mins or so. Nothing that could even actually be considered horror until the last 10 mins or so. Even then it was extremely tame.
I will say the acting was OK though. But I never forgot that it was a movie and the characters never pulled me in and had me feel anything for them. I’m not sure if that was due to the story or if it was due to the acting though.
I’d say it’s a waste of time. It’s not interesting, it’s not creepy. There are two scenes worth watching it for, but why watch a movie that over an hour and a half long for maybe 10 minutes worth?
