When the Beast became king, he joined all the kingdoms and sent all the villains to an island. His 16 year old son is about to become king and the first thing he wants to do is bring the children of the villains to their country. Starting with the children of Maleficent,  the Evil Queen, Cruella Deville and Jafar. Now that they’re there, they have to try to find themselves with the expectations of their parents and the prejudice of the people hanging over them.

I feel like the actors were pretty good choices for the main kids. Some threw me off though. The actress that plays Belle for example also plays the Blue Fairy in Once Upon a Time which is what I’m used to. They also changed the races for some of the characters such as Cruella and I assume aurora (based on her daughter and mother). It’s not that big a deal and they’re fine actresses and everything. It just makes it feel like Disney is trying too hard to not have just white people since these characters were already established as white. Jafar was another one. He was like one of those lame vendors that just sell stolen goods (which, if you were wondering, we’re stolen by his son who is pretty similar to Aladdin). The whole thing also gave me a High School Musical vibe. But the costumes were great (especially all those pretty purple outfits).

As for the story, I find some things in it sort of hard to believe (like one part where I would have expected Ben [Belle abd Beast] or whatever his name was to be mad at Mal [Maleficent] but he acted as though nothing happened). But it was an entertaining an fun movie with catchy songs.

Overall, I’d say it was a pretty good movie and a feel-good way to kill 2 hours.
