Hiccup is a viking. However, he is small an awkward. When attempting to kill a dragon to get some attention, he realizes he can’t and let’s it escape. He finds it again later on and becomes friends with it, naming it Toothless.

This is seriously cute. The art is cute, the characters are cute, the dragons are cute. Especially Toothless who is like a big black cat. The main plot is plenty interesting although the side plot has been time many times before.  The father is disappointed in his son, son wants him to acknowledge him for who he is, dad eventually comes along. The last half hour or so was pretty sad though. Even the end had that not so perfectly happy feel to it.

But anyway, it is a great movie. I loved it.
