Musical based on the 1899 New York Newsboy strike, a group of young boys protest against the wealthy that are charging the kids more in order for them to make more.
It was okay I guess. It had Vinnie from Doogie Howser so that’s good, right? I feel like it would have been better without the music though. I rarely say that because I actually like musicals, but there was only one that seemed really catchy and there was maybe one other that was any good at all. Still, kids protesting against adults that are obviously the bad guys and are freaking out? It’s not all bad. Although, it seems slow for probably at least the first half of the movie.
Okay, suggest it? Maybe. It’s certainly not one of my favourite movies, but it’s something I’d probably watch along with Oliver Twist (or Oliver! not sure which. Probably the latter), Mary Poppins, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Maybe Wizard of Oz if I was having a movie marathon. It has a similar feel in my opinion.
