People with bloodline limits have been disappearing and all evidence points to Konoha being responsible. In order to protect the village and prevent a war, Kakashi decides to sacrifice himself. Naruto, remembering what Kakashi taught him after getting out of the academy, goes after him, even if it means having to fight, not only against the enemy, but his friends as well.

To start off with, the best time to watch this would be after the Kakashi Chronicles ~ Boys’ Life on the Battlefield special (episodes 119-120) but before the Tale of Jiraiya the Gallant arc (episodes 127-133).

So, they randomly introduce a character for their own convenience that Tsunade, Jiraiya, Orochimaru and Kakashi, as well as probably quite a few other characters, knew, and some were close to, but he never made an appearance or was even mentioned before. It’s sort of really annoying when they do this. At least other times it’s people that no one knew and meant nothing at all to anyone. This guy probably had a pretty decent impact on a few of the mainish sideish characters.

It was interesting and entertaining though. I loved the enemies outfits. If I was hotter, I’d personally love to wear them. It was interesting to see how far they were willing to go in order to protect what they care about (cue the constantly repeated phrase “will of fire” please). Plus, there was a bit at the end that makes me kinda have to ship Naruto and Kakashi… I seriously think I’m beginning to turn Naruto into a whore… I’m shipping him with nearly everyone.

Anyway, I suggest watching it just for the outfits and that bit at the end…
