James Matthew Barrie is a play write that meets a woman, Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, and her four children, Peter, Jack, George and Michael, while he is in the park. After spending time with the family, he is inspired by them to write Peter Pan.
I’m not sure how biographical this actually is. I don’t even actually like Peter Pan. I liked the movie Hook, but was never interested in Peter Pan. That being said, I did like this movie. There were some parts that reminded me of Hook. It was interesting, entertaining, cute, sweet, a little sad. It hit a lot of the requirements I expect for a movie considered a family movie.
So, if you like Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, Peter Pan or Hook, I say watch it.
